A Series of Tubes #77: TCP Undergoes a Security Audit

March 5th, 2009

I’m not sure how many people in Australia know of the work of security researcher Fernando Gont, of the Technological University of Argentina, but he’s well-known enough in the UK to be the author of two papers which respectively audit the security of IP and TCP. The latest, covering the TCP protocol, has just been published by the UK’s Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI), and A Series of Tubes talks to Gont about his work.
And in our regular talk to crikey.com.au commmentator Stilgherrian, Tubes looks at the mobile ecosystem, how to turn rude words into Twitter trends, and the emerging world of Naked DSL.
And as always, A Series of Tubes is accompanied by the local lorikeets. Oh for a soundproof studio!
